You are invited to participate in ESPO’s online courses on Pediatric Tracheostomy, which will take place on Friday, 18th September (Part 1) and Friday, 25th September (Part 2) at 5.00-7.00PM (Central European time).
The 5 speakers presenting are Bas Pullens (Rotterdam, The Netherlands), who is the coordinator of these two courses, Kate Stephenson (Birmingham, UK), Joana Araujo (Lisbon, Portugal), Georgios Papatziamos (Stockholm, Sweden) and Joanna Matthews (Birmingham, UK).
After successfully running these courses in April and June, we would now like to give everybody the opportunity (not only ESPO Members) to join these two courses. There is a special rate for ESPO Members and Residents at 20 Euro (per course) and for Non-Members the cost to attend is 40 Euro (per course).

Part 1 covers the following topics:
- Indications, pre-operative assessment & tracheostomy tube choice
- surgical technique
- surgical and post-operative complications
- first tube change & education of the nursing team and parents
Part 2 covers the following topics:
- Organizing home-care and the out-patient multi-disciplinary team
- Tracheostomy (speaking) valves, capping and tracheostomy-associated swallowing issues
- Decannulation protocols
- Late complications of pediatric tracheostomy
